State Senator Calls Governor a Dictator

    State Senator Nancy Argenziano

State Senator Nancy Argenziano, in another fit of rage (for which she is infamous), lashed out at Governor Bush on Monday, stating that he “prefers dictatorship to democracy”. Apparently enraged by an e-mail she received concerning the close race between Alex Villalobos and Frank Bolanos of Miami, the senator unleashed her temper once again, this time against a Republican Governor. Senator Argenziano is also a Republican.

Once again, Nancy Argenziano has displayed that Brooklyn street-tough ethos that she displayed at the clandestine March 28th meeting between Mr. John “Recall” Taylor, the RRR representative and the D.C.A., when she literally screamed at the state representatives. Of course, this is the same woman who once sent a bale of manure to a lobbyist she disagreed with. Class act, no?
While this may make for entertaining news coverage, it reflects poorly on the constituency she represents. This sort of behavior is more at home in a street fight, and quite out of place in the State House.

Government, at it’s meanest, is the art of compromise. At it’s best, it is statesmanship. Apparently, Nancy Argenziano aspires to neither, and in that, she has been extremely successful.
One also wonders why “The Water Lady” has not attended one of the recent workshops or meetings concerning the Rainbow River Ranch development at City Hall. She ostensibly lives in Dunnellon. She ostensibly cherishes the river, and all the little creatures that inhabit it. Perhaps she is too busy defending Alex Villalobos, who represents MIAMI. I would be willing to bet that Mr. Villalobos couldn’t find Dunnellon on a map.

This most-recent outburst may well spell political suicide for Nancy. Jeb Bush wants to be President, and chances are good that he will be, if not in ’08, then in 2012. He is not a very good enemy to make, especially if you’re a Republican. She shouldn’t worry, though. She can always come “home” to Dunnellon and run for Mayor. Word has it that there may soon be a vacancy.
