Bed Restaurant

Tucked away in the Plaza of Dunnellon on North Williams Street is a little restaurant called Bed. No, not “The Bed”, just “Bed”.

  Opened on June 3rd, 2003, owners Rob and Christy Doran (and family), have created an oasis of excellent food served with a smile. Christy greets you as you enter, and directs you to a comfortable booth where you can dine in privacy. In this day of “fast food” and chain restaurants, it’s refreshing to visit a place that maintains the old-fashioned principle of good food at the right price. Bed is just such a place.
  When Dunnellon Online visited last Saturday, we asked Christy how they came up with the name. She said that they wanted something that conveyed a “cozy” feeling, and thought “Bed” would be perfect. To carry on with the theme, Christy and her wait staff even dress in pajamas! Rob, on the other hand, doesn’t wear PJ’s, but man, can he cook! He is more of a chef than a cook, and he takes great care in both preparation and presentation of his dishes.
  Tired of runny eggs? Try Bed. Tired of undercooked omelets? Rob’s are absolutely perfect. Want a real Philly cheesesteak with tender marinated beef and hoagie rolls shipped in straight from Philly? Try Bed. Aside from the  usual breakfast/brunch fare, they offer a variety of fresh and unique garden salads and sandwiches. A new offering is their wraps, stuffed with several different choices of delectable ingredients.  Rob is always coming up with something special, so don't forget to try the special of the day.

  This is the kind of place that makes Dunnellon what it is – a friendly spot where neighbors gather, where you feel like a “regular” the first time you come in. If you know of Bed but haven’t been there in a while, they have a new menu to tempt your taste buds, all at great prices.
